Billing

Manage your subscription, payment methods, and invoices from your account settings.

Subscription Management

Viewing Your Plan

Go to Account Settings > Billing to see your current plan, billing cycle, next payment date, and usage.

Changing Plans

You can upgrade or downgrade at any time:

  • Upgrading takes effect immediately. You're charged a prorated amount for the rest of your current billing cycle.
  • Downgrading takes effect at the start of your next billing cycle. You keep your current features until then.

Cancelling

To cancel your subscription, go to Account Settings > Billing > Cancel Plan. Your account reverts to the Free plan at the end of your current billing cycle. Your projects remain accessible, but features exclusive to paid plans will be disabled.

Warning

If you have more projects than the Free plan allows (1 project), excess projects will be hidden (taken offline) immediately. Hidden projects are permanently deleted after 30 days unless you resubscribe. Your oldest project is always kept.

Payment Providers

Specra supports four payment providers to serve customers worldwide:

Stripe (Global)

The default payment provider. Accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and other major credit and debit cards. Also supports Apple Pay and Google Pay where available.

M-Pesa (Kenya)

Pay directly from your M-Pesa mobile money account. Available for customers in Kenya. Payments are processed in KES.

Pesapal (Africa)

Supports mobile money (M-Pesa, Airtel Money, MTN), bank transfers, and cards across multiple African countries.

NOWPayments (Cryptocurrency)

Pay with Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), USDT, and 100+ other cryptocurrencies. Payments are converted at the current exchange rate.

You can switch payment providers at any time from your billing settings. Your next payment will use the new provider.

Invoices

Invoices are generated automatically for every payment. You can view and download invoices from Account Settings > Billing > Invoices.

Each invoice includes:

  • Invoice number and date
  • Plan name and billing period
  • Line items (base plan, extra seats, etc.)
  • Tax amount (if applicable)
  • Total amount and payment method

Invoices are available as PDF downloads.

Coupons

If you have a coupon code, apply it during checkout or from Account Settings > Billing > Coupon. Coupons can provide:

  • Percentage discounts (e.g., 20% off for 3 months)
  • Fixed amount discounts (e.g., $10 off your next payment)
  • Extended trials (e.g., 30-day free trial of Pro)
Tip
Coupons are applied once and cannot be combined. If you already have an active coupon, the new one replaces it.

Billing FAQ

When am I charged? You're charged at the beginning of each billing cycle (monthly or annually).

Can I get a refund? We offer refunds within 7 days of a charge. Contact support at hello@specra-docs.com.

What happens if a payment fails? We retry failed payments up to 3 times over 7 days. If all retries fail, your account is downgraded to the Free plan.

Do you charge tax? Tax is applied based on your billing address and local regulations.
